The announcement was made at the intercollegiate Battle of the Bands, where Trinity was represented by a talented group of musicians.

In addition to Battle of the Bands, Trinity students have performed strongly this year at a number of ICAC events including the intercollegiate musical production, music soiree, fresher dance off, theatre sports, debating and public speaking.

Trinity was also well represented in visual arts, writing, chess, cards, darts, and pool competitions.

‘The arts at Trinity have never been better, with a brilliant performance by our musically minded students at this year’s Battle of the Bands and the re-attainment of the Intercollegiate Cultural Cup,’ newly appointed Arts Representative, Charles Kemp (2nd year Arts), said.

‘Much thanks must go to the outgoing Arts Representative, Kat Droppert (3rd year Arts), and Trinity’s ICAC representative, Ness West (3rd year Arts).

‘With the success of the College musical and play, as well as the fantastic reception and strengthening of the relationship between Trinity and the New Zealand College cultural exchange, it's clear that the arts are a central part of life at Trinity and will continue to be in the future.’
